I am honored to serve as Superintendent of the Cocalico School District, where I continue to be inspired by the dedication of our educators, staff, families, and community members. By working together, we create an environment where students are supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow in and beyond the classroom.
My journey as an educator began at Adamstown Elementary as a classroom teacher. I later served as an ESL teacher, Reading Specialist, and in a variety of administrative roles before being appointed as Superintendent in 2016. I hold a Bachelor’s degree and K-12 Principal certification from Millersville University, a Master’s degree and Reading Specialist certification from Kutztown University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Immaculata University.
One of my deepest professional joys is supporting others in discovering their own potential—something that connects directly with the district’s mission and vision. For the 2025-2026 school year, I am excited about taking a district-wide focus on “Every chance launches potential” to help bring Cocalico’s mission and vision to life.
This theme builds on last year’s emphasis on the idea of chance, which sparked many creative initiatives—including a district-wide writing contest, the use of Kobi Yamada’s What Do You Do With a Chance?, and the naming of our eagle mascot, “Chance.” These efforts reflected the incredible creativity and commitment of our staff in helping students understand the value of taking positive risks.
This year, the focus expands to include potential—inspiring students and staff alike to recognize that every opportunity, no matter how small, can spark meaningful growth. With resources like Kobi Yamada’s Maybe, I encourage the Cocalico community to reflect on the incredible potential within each person and to continue building a culture where everyone is empowered to learn, grow, and contribute.
Beyond my professional role, I value time with my family. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, I take great joy in supporting my family’s wide range of careers in marriage and family therapy, physics, law, construction, and healthcare.
In every setting, I am deeply committed to public education and to the collaborative spirit that drives Cocalico forward. I am grateful to lead alongside such dedicated educators and community members, and I am honored to participate with others in the Cocalico School District to create chances that help launch every student’s potential.
