Dr. Ella Musser is delighted to be a Cocalico Eagle! She finds great fulfillment in joining the efforts of parents, staff, and community leaders to create meaningful academic and extracurricular opportunities for students of all ages.
With over 30 years of experience in education, her journey began at Adamstown Elementary School as a classroom teacher, followed by roles including ESL teacher, Reading Specialist, and various administrative positions. In 2016, she was appointed Superintendent of Schools for the district. Dr. Musser obtained her Bachelor’s degree and certification as an Elementary Education teacher and K-12 Principal from Millersville University, a Master's degree and Reading Specialist certification from Kutztown University, and a Doctorate in Education Leadership and Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Immaculata University.
Beyond Cocalico, she has been involved in early childhood education, literacy tutoring, and higher education, and has been employed as an Adjunct Professor at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisburg Area Community College, and Reading Area Community College. Additionally, she has served on the Penn State Berks Advisory Board and the Northern Lancaster County Chamber Board.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Musser treasures time with her family. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoys supporting her family’s diverse careers in fields such as church leadership, marriage and family therapy, theoretical physics, law, construction work, and healthcare.
In every setting, Dr. Musser is deeply committed to empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential. She is enthusiastic about the transformative power of public education and is excited about all the ways she can help inspire and support learning for every child, every chance, every day.
