Dr. Stephen A. Melnyk has been part of Cocalico School District since 2000. He began his career at Cocalico as an 8th grade Communication Arts teacher and served the district as a team leader and department chair for grades 6-8. In 2004, he moved into administration and served as the assistant principal and later, principal of Cocalico Middle School.

Dr. Melnyk provides leadership to instructional technology, school counseling, safety, athletics, transportation, food services, buildings and grounds, and health services.  His experience in district leadership will help him address a variety of new mandates in these areas.









 Mrs. Marley joined the Cocalico School District in 2000, beginning her career as a special education teacher at Cocalico High School. She then served a year as both the principal of Schoeneck Elementary School and the district special education consultant before becoming the principal of Denver Elementary School, a position she held for 17 years.

Mrs. Marley provides oversight of all facets of curriculum and instruction including state standards, textbooks, enrichment, and state/local assessments. In addition, she oversees library services, professional development, special education services, academic supports, and early learning initiatives. Mrs. Marley's many years of experience as an administrator in the Cocalico School District enables her to ensure high quality educational programs for the students at Cocalico.
