The 2024-2027 Cocalico School District Comprehensive Plan was presented to the Board of School Directors on Monday, January 22, 2024. After a 28-day public review period, the plan was officially approved by the School Board on Monday, February 26, 2024. The plan then received approval by the Pennsylvania Department of Education on May 31, 2024.
The 2024-2027 Comprehensive Plan was developed by committees of administrators, teachers, students, board members, and business/community members. Through a series of district-level and building-level meetings, the following three (3) priority areas were established:
- The district will research and implement evidence-based instructional materials, methods, strategies, core programs and intervention models to address deficits in the area of English Language Arts.
- Students from all subgroups will improve their ELA, math and science scores by 2% each school year, as a result of quality instruction and support from certificated staff and intervention team members.
- All staff will receive professional development on strategies to support social-emotional learning in the classroom and ways to positively influence our students and their mental health.
